I just get all my fur bathed in my wonderful cat breath, then Angel comes along and kisses my ears with this Jolly Rancher Cherry flavored lip balm on her lips. 

Ugh – then I smell like cherries.

And after I spent upwards of 20  mintues getting my fur and smell JUST the way I like it.

She always says I smell so pretty, but I say I smell like a fruitcake. 

Real cats don’t like all that frippery and junk.

Cats Rule – and they’d rather rule with just plain old cat breath and not cherries!

What kind of litter fills your box? 

For the money, the stuff I like best is the store brand from Aldi’s – it clumps best and is easy to sift through.  No sticking to the paws and no splashing when things start spraying into the box.

Plus, it’s inexpensive and comes in a nice plastic container.  Not much of a smell, but then I add my own distinct aromas to the box anyway.  (We have an auto-spray scent machine near my box – so it always smells fresh in my “bathroom”)

As I said, for the money this is the best litter around.  You can get more expensive, scented stuff, but I like this. It clumps and is scoopable – what more do you need?

From Santa!

Look what Santa brought me for Christmas!

You can’t see the colors really well, but its a bright burgundy with gold ribbons through it on one side and a buff plush on the other.

It has really  soft stuffing and soft sides so I can rest my back and head against it.

I wasn’t too sure about it at first – took me a FULL 24 hours before I would climb inside.  Santa thought he might have to take it back to the North Pole – thinking I wouldn’t like it. 

But, I LOOOOVE it Santa!   Thank you sooo much for my new soft bed.

This sure beats trying to sleep on the bare rocks with just a paper bag for comfort!

Cats Rule!

That is sort of a mystery.  Since I was a stray we aren’t really sure, but I’m somewhere in the vacinity of 6 to 7 years old (in people years). 

The equivalent in cat years would make me around 40-44 years old, if I was a furless critter.

There’s a cool chart on my website where you can figure your cat’s age, too.

I don’t really know what it all means.  I do know that Hulk celebrated his birthday yesterday, and there was a big ruckus in my house about baking a cake and wrapping the present, cooking a nice meal, blah, blah, blah.  I had to have my fur brushed – twice – so I looked extra special pretty.

A nice fresh chunk of tuna would be better, with a soft bed and catnip toys in front of the fire.  Now THAT would be a cool birthday.

Cat’s Rule

Angel opened the door so I could stick my head out – yowzer!

The cold wind nearly froze my nose…my fur got all chilly and I jumped back from the door with a yowl.

If  you have pets that go outside – please remember to keep them warm.  Short haired cats and small dogs should have a sweater on and booties if they’ll were them. 

Soft pads are vulnerable to frostbite (our pads are just like people skin) and outside visits should be limited to doing the necessary duty and then quickly back into the house.

If you have a dog in a pen outside, please consider bringing him in to shelter.  At the very least, please take extra blankets and even a heating pad to them.  Make sure their water is not frozen and they have plenty of fatty food to give them needed fuel in below freezing weather.

Pets look to humans for their basic needs – please don’t let them down in subzero weather.
