Once in a while, I like to bat at the low-hanging ornaments (although there aren’t too many I can reach anymore – seems they get higher every year!) – and of course I looove to try to climb the tree.
If no one is watching, I even like to play scratch the mouse with the tree skirt. I lay on the floor and kick it with my back legs while I grab it with my front paws…and leave it all messed up.
This usually gets their attention in a hurry. The bigger mess I make, the more attention I get (although it’s not all good!)
They no longer put tinsel on the tree. I guess when it ended up in the litter box, it wasn’t a pretty sight. Plus it’s hard on a cat’s digestive tract. Better to be safe and healthy with a boring tree than to risk me getting sick.
We have Daddy Long Leg spiders that are fun to chase around, but I don’t like to eat them very much.
We have the soybean (lady-bug type) of bug – they don’t taste or smell good, but they sure are fun to try to catch with my paw when they fly around the house.
We sometimes have bees – hornets and bumblebees - they aren’t fun to catch but they fascinate me…I can watch them walk across the window for hours.
The most fun, though are the bugs with all the legs – they’re fun to try to catch AND they tickle my mouth when I chew them.
And of course all ants and butterflies in the summer, when I go for my walk – they’re just so much fun to chase and pat with my paw.
Which bug do you like best and why? Send me a comment and let me know!
Here’s a fun, quick video of cats playing and acting cute…I especially like the one with the black cat going into the greenery and a light colored cat coming out.
The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people
to click on it daily so they can meet their quota of getting
FREE FOOD donated every day to abused and neglected animals.
It takes about 15 seconds to go to their site and
click on the purple box 'fund food for animals for free'.
This doesn't cost you a thing.
Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily
visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange
for advertising. Click here to Help
