It’s the last day of November and they finally turned on my “god” – the pellet stove. They bought this right after I graced their home with my presence.

My bed sits right in front of the pellet stove (in the winter time, at least) and I truly LOVE to sit or lay here and soak up all the heat.
This is where I pay homage to the pellet stove god and thank him daily for this soft warm heat.
Angel likes to brush me in front of the stove as well – so I doubly love it.
Sometimes (if Hulk isn’t watching) she’ll even give me some treats right on my bed.
Because she has pretty severe asthma, we can’t have a fireplace in the house, and a pellet stove is the next best thing – without the smoke and dust!
I was born to lay here and snooze in this nice heat. Gotta’ go take a cat nap now…

Is there something of your people’s that you’ve claimed for your own?
I have. Angel got this blanket and pillow as a gift last Xmas. They are SO soft, that I decided I wanted them for my own.
It only took a day or so for her to realize that when she put the blanket over her knees, I’d claim it as mine. Now, when I’m napping in the sun room (aka her office) I get the blanket all to myself.
I love this blanket!
In the cold of winter (we live just a few miles west of Green Bay WI) I even get covered up if I look really pathetic and give a shiver or two. (Hey, it’s all in how you play it!)
I sometimes even make my own cocoon from the blanket and stay extra warm – even when Hulk and Angel are away from home. It’s a lot easier when they cover me up, however.
I have to make sure they don’t realize how much I like it – it never pays to let your people know too much about what you’re thinking, you know.

How do you wake up your people in the morning?
Today, Angel slept late. And I was hungry!
So, to facilitate matters, I had to act quickly and loudly. I raced (like a herd of elephants) up the stairs and stopped just outside their bedroom.
A really loud, long and mournful meow was enough to rouse her. Then I had to wait until the morning ritual was done in the bathroom.
FINALLY, she came into the kitchen and opened a fresh can of catfood (Turkey and Giblets – mmm!) and gave me a splash of Reddi-Whip (I always eat dessert first – my cardinal rule when it comes to dining!)
I sniffed the food , took a lick of the Reddi-Whip and flounced to my antique window seat (purchased just for me at an antique store) and did the slow clean/lick of my paws – to show her that I didn’t like to be kept waiting. (It never pays to let the fur-less creatures know that you are desperate!)
How do you wake your people when they oversleep?

Hey, I personally hate all the commotion, but if you’re going to be shopping anyway, make sure you pick up some snacks for me – I’m partial to salmon and tuna!

- brushes to make our coats smooth
- bed to lay in
- carriers to get us to our doctors appointments
- loving people to pet you and snuggle with
- other pets to terrorize
- a warm roof over your head
- bugs to chase and tasty grass to chew
- the smell of field mice on a nice warm day
- the birds that flock around the feeders
- even the neighborhood dogs who walk past on a leash
- and espcially for our boys and girls in the military who are fighting for our people’s freedoms (both past and present!)
