Happy Thanksgiving!
This day dedicated to giving thanks for the abundance in our lives reminds me to be thankful for my people.
Without the love and persistence of these two humans, I wouldn’t be alive today.
Because I was a non-socialized stray (deaf to boot), and was deemed too much work to salvage, I was scheduled for euthanasia (compassionate killing).
Angel’s sister heard of this and brought me to her house. I didn’t want to be a part of this household at the time. I wanted to be left alone to wander the countryside and live the only way I knew how – alone and afraid. But it was all I knew.
Now I know there is a much better life for kitties out there.
I am proof!

Hulk pointing at birds
Just yesterday, Hulk purchased TWO Reddi-Whip containers for me – TWO. Even Angel was surprised. I knew all the extra attention I paid to him would pay off. He can’t resist my cute tilting of the head with a tiny little meow and a paw on his knee. He is putty in my paws!
I am thankful for his capitulation, without his OK I wouldn’t be living with Angel and Hulk, surrounded by abundance.
I don’t have to spend the days out in the cold and starve any more. In fact, I have my own bed, my own blanket, my own toys, self-watering dish, self-feeding crunchie bowl and my own window perch (a specially purchased antique bench in front of the kitchen nook window that overlooks the back yard).
I even have my own carrier to go to the pet doctor (though this is not necessarily a plus in my book).
I am truly thankful for all that I have. I just can’t let my people see this too much or else I won’t be able to control them the way I do. So this is just between you and me…
Remember to be thankful for the good things in YOUR life – we all have something we can be thankful for.
Cats Rule!
