Shelters – a great place to find your next companion
If you’re looking for a new cat or kitten, consider visiting your local animal shelter.
Locate your local shelter here.
You can find a wide array of great companions at the animal shelters.
And if you’re looking for a purebred, the fact is that many purebred animals can be found at your local shelter.
Purebred or mutt, your local animal shelter is a great place to adopt.
It’s true, you’ll most likely have to pay an adoption fee, but your new friend is worth putting a little money into.
You’ll probably have to agree to spay or neuter your pet, or will pay extra for one that is already “fixed”. Shots (vaccinations) are a must as well, either from the shelter or from your vet.
It’s always a good idea to establish your new pet with your vet at the outset, so the vet can give your new pet a good checkup and make sure there’s no preventable disease that goes untreated.
